The classic Big Steak full of marbling. Cut from dry aged beef.
A prime steak cut through and left on the bone to feature both sirloin and fillet with maximum flavour and exquisite tenderness. Ideal for a big feast, this is one of the most prized cuts of the beast, and requires skill to prepare neatly. Ours are sourced exclusively from grass fed herds for optimum marbling and depth of flavour.
A key skill of any butcher is making a steak look presentable and ready for the top table. The T bone is particularly challenging as it requires ample proportions of both fillet and sirloin, while cutting through the bone.
The marbling of our T Bones is a mark of great quality and is what every chef looks for when sourcing meat, to ensure juicy succulence and real flavour upon cooking.
|Suggested Cooking Instructions||Ensure steak is room temperature before cooking.
Raise the heat to high, add the steak and cook, turning once, until well browned, about 7 minutes for the first side, and 4 minutes on the second side, for medium-rare. Hold the steak with tongs and sear the edges.
Transfer the steak to cutting board and cover loosely with foil. Let rest for 5 minutes.
We recommend use of a meat thermometer for the best and safest results.
