S Collins and Son, a local butcher based in Muirhead, Glasgow, has won several awards at the 2011 Smithfield Awards, a national product evaluation which is among the most coveted in the meat industry.ย
The prestigious awards are organised by the Q Guild of Butchers, which is the UKโs top independent butchersโ organisation.ย
S Collins and Son won two Gold awards for its Venison Burger in the Burgers category and its Beef Wellington in the Ready to Cook category.ย

The awards ceremony took place on 8th November 2011 at Butchers Hall in London. Celebrity chef and TV presenter Ainsley Harriott attended and presented S Collins and Son with their awards.
