Blue Light Card ChangesStewart Collins
We would like to make our customers aware of the fact that we are raising the minimum spend of our Blue Light Discount from £10 to £20.
Max spend is still £50 after deals and other discounts.
The reason we have to increase the minimum spend is two fold – increased costs on our end and increased competition from competing businesses.
We know it’s not what many people want to hear, but we want to be as transparent as possible in these matters.
The increased costs on our end are self explanatory: our own costs of manufacturing and producing the award winning products our customers love so much is going up. We’re not particularly fond of increasing our prices, so we do things like this to of-set some of the more subtle increases.
More competition from other business mean that fewer people may make use of the discount we’ve offered for the past few years. Due to the underuse of the discount, we have a hard time justifying its role in the business. If more people were to make use of it, we’d certainly love to lower things like the minimum spend back down!
