At S. Collins & Son we are always looking at ways that we can improve the service we offer to our customers. One recent change we have made in this regard relates to our delivery service (both Local & National).

Local Delivery – As customers may know, we recently introduced the use of a SMS text messaging service, in order to notify customers (1-3 hours in advance) that their delivery is on it’s way, thus saving them from having to wait in all day. We have also introduced a delivery card to our local delivery service, so that in the event that you are not home, you can be informed as to where your order has been left.

National Delivery – We recently changed couriers and now all national deliveries will be going out via DPD. There are several advantages to this change which are:

  • Customers are kept up to date when their order will arrive (through an app, email or SMS)
  • DPD offer both a Saturday & Sunday delivery option (additional charges do apply)

We believe this offers our customers a better all round service.

We are also delighted to let customers know that we have reduced the minimum spend levels for customers to qualify for Free Delivery to the following:

  • Local – Spend £20 or more to qualify for free delivery
  • National – Spend £79 or more to qualify or free delivery
