Last week was a great one for all of here at S Collins & Son,we held its own in the midst of heavy competition at  the prestigious Smithfield Awards held in London. Rewarding the best butcher products in the UK, these hugely competitive prizes are a coveted distinction in the trade.
Amongst the most rewarded butchers we notched a gold awards hat-trick with its Pork & Sweet Chilli Sausage, Chilli Burger,  and Wee Beastie. Apart from the gold medals, the butcher shop also won 3 silver medals for Lasagne,Pork Tower, Low Fat Pork Links and Bronze for their Chicken Pakora.

Apart from being among the Smithfield judges’ favourites, butcher Stewart Collins learned the day after the awards that he had also won the Innovation of the Year Award in the Butchers Shop of the Year awards for the shop’s loyalty card scheme.
The prize receivers are all available to purchase in the shop and to order on the new website- but hurry up. We don’t think the golds will last for long!
