Bavette Steak also know as Flank Steak is a great value cut, perfect for Frying to deliver the characteristic flavour of our grass fed beef, sourced from grass fed beef herds.

Called bavette d’aloyau in France, this fan-shaped cut is an extension of the T-bone and Porterhouse on the short loin. Bavette is a highly flavorful, loosely textured flat cut of meat taken from the abdominal muscles of the cow and must not be mistaken for Skirt Steak.

Cooking Instructions

Bring Bavette to room temperature and then sear on both sides at a high heat to create a rich, dark crust.
Now, drop the steak to a medium heat and cook each side for 3 to 4 minutes.
For a medium rare steak, ensure a core temperature of over 52░c.
We would encourage use of a meat thermometer for the best results. All Appliances vary these are guildlines only.
