We have made some changes to our local delivery service which we think will improve the service we provide to our customers.

SMS Text Messaging – We have successfully trialled an SMS text messaging service for local deliveries, whereby a customer will receive an SMS message (provided they have given us a mobile contact number at the time of ordering) 1-3 hours prior to their order being delivered on their chosen day of delivery.

We have made this change as a result of feedback we have received from customers who were wanting us to let them know roughly when their delivery was going to arrive, so they did not have to wait in all day.

Delivery Card – We appreciate that from time to time you may not be at home when we are making our deliveries. Our preference, where possible, is to hand your order over to a person, so if you’re not in we will try a neighbour and see if they are willing to take your order. If no neighbour can be found, we will endeavour to leave your order in a safe place.

To help you find your delivery quicker, we will shortly be introducing delivery cards, which will be posted through your door to let you know which neighbour your order has been left with or the safe place we have left your order. We hope you will find this another useful addition to our local delivery service.
