Generous pieces of chicken breast are coated in a deeply flavoured black bean sauce made with fermented black beans, soy, garlic, onion and peppers. Black beans bring the distinctive salty, savoury character associated with this classic Chinese dish while garlic and onion provide sweetness and depth. Sesame and a carefully selected blend of coriander, paprika, turmeric, ginger, fenugreek, chilli, cumin and other spices build additional layers of flavour. The result is a wonderfully savoury dish where the sauce complements rather than overwhelms the quality chicken breast. It's rich and full flavoured without being particularly hot, making it a great alternative to sweeter Asian-style dishes. Flavour profile: Deeply savoury and umami-rich with fermented black bean and soy, followed by garlic, peppers, sesame and gentle warming spice.
